2022 Fifolet Halloween Festival Grand Marshal

Cajun Ninja

Jason "the Cajun Ninja" Derouen is an internet sensation with a fanbase over one million strong.  His family-friendly content paired with delicious Cajun recipes makes it feel like you are hanging out with your best friend. It is our pleasure to honor him with the title of 2022 Fifolet Halloween Festival Grand Marshal!

A Personal Letter from Jason:

Cajun NinjaHalloween is such a fun time in a child’s life. It’s where you have the opportunity to actually be whatever character you know and love. Whether that be a superhero or a cartoon character. One day a year, kids have the opportunity to dress up just like them. The magic of it for a child is a small window. For any child not to have that opportunity is heartbreaking. Anyone having the means and ability to contribute to this cause is doing something very special and meaningful.

I am excited to serve as this year’s Grand Marshal and I hope to see you all in Baton Rouge this October at the Fifolet Halloween Festival!

I support 10/31 Consortium because of the good they do for Louisiana's children.

saveEvents where neighbors can meet and informally interact have become even more important in recent years with technological advances. We no longer see our neighbors in the local market because we do our shopping online. We no longer chat over the fence because we chat on social media. This creates a lack of community and goodwill, and reinforces the notion that we stand alone rather than together. We believe that community events, such as Trick or Treat, help to strengthen neighborhoods.

Let us help your neighborhood revitalize the community tradition of Trick or Treat.

help

We would be remiss not to consider children hospitalized at Halloween.

We are here to help ease the necessary heartache of missing Trick or Treat and often not being allowed candy on Halloween.

teaching children to give back halloweenTeaching children the importance of helping others is a vital component of our long-term vision.

The 10/31 Consortium Kids’ Court Youth Leadership and Volunteer Program was created in 2018. This program, for children age 6 to senior in high school, teaches valuable lessons in organization, compassion and public speaking.

Participating children are also the selection pool to receive the honors of Fifolet Halloween Festival Prince, Princess and Royal Page.

recognizeRecognizing the efforts of others to actively improve our shared community supports our vision of safe neighborhoods for all children. To that end, awards were created that follow the ideals of our motto: Saundra Lane Community Award, Corey Tullier Courage Award and Dwayne Sanburn Creativity Award.

10/31 Consortium also recognizes its biggest cheerleader with the Lance Parker Spirit Award and the hardest worker on the Board of Directors with the Jamie Schexnayder Behind the Scenes Award.
