Free Halloween Costumes
We understand that many parents, guardians, and caregivers need assistance building positive and lasting memories for the children they love so dearly. We also understand that Halloween, while often ranked as a favorite holiday for children, is consistently overlooked as a time of giving. 10/31 Consortium is actively closing that gap and shining a light on the charitable giving opportunities that Halloween provides.
Need a costume for your child?
Our Great Costume Giveaway provides free Halloween costumes to children who need them, while supplies last.
Who can get a costume?
If your child needs a Halloween costume, we want to help. No proof of financial need is required. No registration is required. Children of all ages are welcome to shop our available inventory.
Costumes are provided based on availability while supplies last. Selections and sizes may vary, therefore specific inventory is not guaranteed to be in stock.
Need costumes for a group?
We also work with neighborhoods and organizations serving children who need costumes. If you're organizing Halloween activities for a group of children, we may be able to help. Group costume requests are available to eligible organizations in the Capital Region, including: Neighborhoods, Schools, Nonprofits, Churches, and Community Organizations.

There are lots of ways to help make Halloween possible for a child. Give a financial donation, donate a new or gently used costume, or contribute products or services that can help us raise money through our auctions. Whatever you have to give, you can help make sure more children get to experience the fun, creativity, and magic of Halloween.

Drop-Off Locations
Want to donate a costume or candy? Look for a 10/31 Consortium Cauldron at one of our community drop-off locations. Each Cauldron collects new or gently used Halloween costumes and store-bought, individually wrapped candy to help make Halloween accessible to more children in our community.
