
2025 Fifolet 5k and Pumpkin Run
Lace up your sneakers and summon your sea legs for the Fifolet 5k & Pumpkin Run, part of Baton Rouge’s most spirited Halloween celebration. Whether you're running for time or trotting with a pumpkin in hand, this race is a wickedly good time for all ages.
9 a.m. – Late Registration and Late Packet Pickup
9:30 a.m. – Pre-Run Stretch
10 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
Join us as we officially cast off into the chilling charm of the Fifolet Halloween Festival! Set along the scenic Riverfront Plaza, the Opening Ceremony is your first taste of the magic that lies beneath the wicked waves.
Welcome from Festival Organizers – Hear from the 10/31 Consortium and community leaders as they summon the spirit of the season and thank our sponsors and supporters.
National Anthem – A hauntingly beautiful rendition to honor our community and country.
Blessing of the Festival – A whimsical invocation to call forth safe revelry, creativity, and a tide of good fortune.
Introduction of the Fifolet Royal Court – Meet the Grand Marshal, King, Queen, Prince, and Princess as they reign over the crowd and officially open the portal to Halloween fun.
10:30 a.m. – Race Begins
The Lil’ Pumpkins 1-Mile Fun Run will go first. The Fifolet 5k and Pumpkin Run will go together after the kids.
12 p.m. – Race winners will be announced in the Arts Market
Lil’ Pumpkins 1-Mile Fun Run – Perfect for young sea sprites and spooky sidekicks.
Fifolet 5k – A spirited run or walk along the levee—costumes encouraged!
Pumpkin 5k – Carry a pumpkin from our patch the entire way—no backpacks allowed! Pumpkins must be carried by hand. Space is limited.
Dogs are welcome in all categories with a leash and full owner responsibility per local ordinances and liability waiver.
Strollers are allowed in any race category, but must carry children only. Children in strollers are not eligible for race awards, but their pushers are!
The top 3 male and female finishers in each race category will receive prizes, along with all costume contest winners. Every runner gets:
2 water tickets
2 drink tickets (good for beer, sodas, or more water)
1 free bowl of jambalaya
Costumes are highly encouraged! Judges are at the water station and will award prizes for:
