Thank You!

At 10/31 Consortium, we are fortunate to have the support of many local businesses, nonprofits and community organizations. Thank you to everyone who is involved with us in one way or another.  Here are just a few who help us nearly every single day.

If one thing is true, it’s that we can count on Gerry Lane! From Day 1, Gerry Lane Enterprises has been our biggest supporter and best cheerleader. Saundra Lane, advertising guru and Hallow-Queen, knew immediately that she wanted to be involved with 10/31 Consortium and has been even since before the organization was incorporated.  Saundra recognized that 10/31 Consortium offers a unique and creative advertising opportunity with prime timing right before the Christmas buying season. Her philanthropic spirit also immediately saw how we impact the Baton Rouge community. This was something she HAD to be involved in. Although, it is possible her fierce love for Halloween also may have had something do with it.

“10/31 Consortium is on a mission to bring back Trick or Treat because neighborhood events like this promote community awareness, togetherness and safety. With the crime rate in Baton Rouge right now, this is something everyone should be getting behind.” –Saundra Lane

Gerry Lane Enterprises takes sponsorship to a whole new level. They are not just our sponsors; they are our partners. Gerry Lane Enterprises, through Saundra Lane and Julie Arinder, offer guidance like a mentor and support like a friend. They want us to succeed and give their all at making sure that will happen. They have been the presenting sponsor for the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade every year since it began. They not only have a float in the parade, they also supply convertibles for our royalty and grand marshal to ride in during the parade. But they don’t stop there. They have provided swag items and goodies for countless other events and always send staff members to represent their company at 10/31 Consortium events. They not only pay up, they show up, and that’s very rare in today’s business world.

It should be no surprise that Gerry Lane Enterprises takes this partnership so seriously. Anyone who has ever bought a vehicle from the company knows their commitment to excellence. They do not settle for less than the best in the products they sell, the staff they employ and (even if we do say so ourselves) the events and causes they support. Thank you, Gerry Lane Enterprises!

To our most delicious sponsor, we thank you! Island Girl Bake Shop is a “small batch from scratch bakery that uses locally sourced ingredients as much as possible.” The shop is owned and run by the talented Meredith Beck-Wiggins.

Meredith is truly a dessert artist. She attended culinary school in Baton Rouge and was drawn to pastry work.  She is incredibly talented with the artistic side of food and builds displays that are so appealing that they tend to draw you in. She is also creative in her flavor combinations and isn’t afraid to try new things.

Island Girl Bake Shop has sponsored many 10/31 Consortium events. These include the Peanut Butter Cup Mini Golf Tournament, the Ghostly Gala, the Zombie Pub Crawl and our newest event, the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest. Meredith adds so much flavor and beauty to our events. She truly is a sponsor to die for!

You may recognize Island Girl Bake Shop from Maxwell’s Market or Highland Coffees. She often has individual desserts for sale in all locations. She also can be hired for private parties and corporate gifts. If you give your client a dessert from Island Girl Bake Shop, they will definitely contact you for more!

You can see pictures of her creations by following @IslandGirlBakes on Instagram or @IslandGirlBakeShop on Facebook. Thank you, Meredith, for all of your support of 10/31 Consortium!

Parenting is hard work. Having a support system from other parents, in this case moms, can truly make a difference in your life and the lives of your children. Baton Rouge Moms is dedicated to giving moms in our area the support they need to be the best moms they can be – and to encourage them to, in turn, give back to each other and to the community at large. With a following of over 27,000 people, it’s clear that Baton Rouge parents feel the need to connect with each other and support each other in these ways and with the help of Baton Rouge Moms.

The company is run by Tiany Davis, who is a kind and compassionate mom that is truly dedicated to parenting and helping other parents however they may need it. She shares thoughtful, insightful, fun and interesting information all with the purpose of helping us all be the best parents we can be. Her goal is to help us, whether that’s through learning discipline techniques, trying out quick meal plans, sharing family friendly event information or just posting something funny to make us laugh away the stress.

Baton Rouge Moms has been a great supporter of 10/31 Consortium by serving as a media sponsor for all of our family friendly or “moms night out” events. She is deliberate and calculating in what and when she posts, all with the end goal of getting you maximum exposure. She is also very easy to plan with and is always available to talk over new ideas. Tiany has been incredibly helpful with getting the word out about 10/31 Consortium, our charitable initiative and our events. Thanks to her support, we’ve been able to outfit over 1,000 children with Halloween costumes they normally would not otherwise have.

You can learn more about Baton Rouge Moms on their website or by following @BatonRougeMoms on Facebook and Instagram.
