Baton Rouge, LA – 10/31 Consortium, the local 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to bringing the children of our area a safe and happy Halloween and plans the annual Fifolet Halloween Festival, has announced its annual Black and Orange Bash will proceed as planned. The Halfway to Halloween event serves as the organization’s official announcement party and royal coronation for the Halloween krewe. The Black and Orange Bash will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, and will take place outside at the LaGrange Barn on the grounds of BREC’s Magnolia Mound located at 2161 Nicholson Drive.
“This is our big announcement party and we’re excited to share all of our exciting news with everyone about the 2021 Fifolet Halloween Festival,” said Craig Winchell, this year’s Festival Captain.
These big announcements include the highly anticipated festival theme, Grand Marshal, and royal court consisting of the King, Queen, Prince and Princess. The group will also honor three local Baton Rouge individuals with their Community Courage Creativity Awards.
“It is really very touching to see all of these special people get honored for their hard work and dedication not only to the 10/31 Consortium but also to the Baton Rouge community in general,” said 10/31 Consortium Founder and President, Corey Tullier. “They have given us many reasons to celebrate and that is exactly what we will do at the Black and Orange Bash,” he continued.
The celebration would not be complete without a special performance from one of the Fifolet Halloween Parade’s regular dance troops, the Mystic Vixens. “We are so excited to shake things up this year at the Bash and look forward to dancing the night away with everyone,” said Johnnie Adams, Captain of the Mystic Vixens.
Anyone interested in attending should go to 1031Consortium.com. Tickets are $31 for adults and include hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, music, dancing, a silent auction and a photo booth. Child tickets are $15 each at this family-friendly event.
As the name suggests, attire for the event is anything black and orange. “You can come in costume, casual dress or cocktail dress, anything you want as long as it’s black and orange,” said Tullier. Face masks are also required.
