One of the many benefits of joining 10/31 Consortium is eligibility to ride on our float in the Spanish Town Parade! We hope you will join us for this fun and unique Mardi Gras parade! This year’s parade theme is “Hiney Sight is 2020.” Our float theme is “Show us your BOO-ty!” Riders should dress as scarecrows and witches with pink accents, or anything with a Spanish Town flare!

Members, don’t forget to sign in below to receive your discount!
Lower Levels: $100 for members, $125 for non-members
Upper Middle Level: $125 for members, $156.25 for non-members

All riders must supply their own throws, costumes (according to the float theme), and refreshments (alcohol and ice chests ok, no glass or Styrofoam). Each rider will have approximately 2.5 feet of space on the float. Please keep this in mind when planning your throws and refreshments.  There is a portable potty on the float.  Smoking on the float is allowed but only while it is in motion and must take place at the rear of the float behind the potty. All float participants (riders, driver, DJ, walkers, etc.) must sign a waiver of liability. Space is limited and is expected to sell out quickly. Therefore, spots will be given on a first paid, first served basis. No reservations without payment will be given. All riders must be at least 21 years of age.

As a 501c3 organization whose direct service charitable initiative benefits the children of our community, it is imperative that 10/31 Consortium representation and participation in any event remain free from political, sexual and religious messaging, even if it is satirical. Please remember this when planning costumes and throws.

Walkers needed! Please email info@1031Consortium.com if you are interested in being a float walker to keep the crowd away from the float. This is approximately a 2 mile brisk walk. Walkers must stay alert and therefore are not permitted to drink alcoholic beverages. All walkers must be at least 18 years of age.

Parade Day: Load up begins at 7:00 a.m. in the parking lot directly to the North of BBQGuys.com at 8151 Airline Hwy, Baton Rouge, 70815. The float will leave at 8:00 a.m. SHARP so don’t be late!
BBQGuys.com is located next door to The Home Depot on Airline Hwy North of Hwy 190 and South of Tom Drive.

IMPORTANT – You will not be allowed on the float until your waiver is turned in and fees are paid. Security is not provided in the parking lot so lock your cars and remove all valuables! 10/31 Consortium is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The Spanish Town Parade begins at noon. You can expect to be back to your cars at BBQGuys in the late afternoon.
