Pumpkin Carving Contest
10/31 Consortium is excited to partner with FifoCon Game Convention and Maker’s Showcase to bring you our inaugural Pumpkin Carving Contest!
Get your family, scout den, office or team involved in this fun and creative project benefiting 10/31 Consortium! Entry fees are only $10 and will go toward helping all children in our community to have a happy and safe Halloween. Please note that member discounts do not apply to contest registrations.
Drop Off Information
Date: Thursday, October 26, 2017
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Location: FifoCon Game Convention and Maker’s Showcase inside the Belle of Baton Rouge Atrium located at 103 France Street
All pumpkins must be completely carved and assembled off-site.
All pumpkins must be easy to transport.
No vulgarity or profanity.
You may use as many pumpkins as you want in your display but all pumpkins must be firmly attached to each other. Displays that fall apart or break during transportation will be removed from the competition.
You can use as many supplies or tools as you wish, however all designs must be original.
You may not attach anything to your pumpkin other than more pumpkins. Paint and other craft enhancements are not allowed.
The name and phone number of the entrant must be written on or attached to the back of the carved pumpkin.
Pumpkins will be judged on creativity of design theme, carving precision and overall appearance. FifoCon Game Convention and Maker’s Showcase Vendors will judge all entries at their private social on Thursday evening. Please note that pumpkins will not be lit when judged.

Photos of the winning pumpkins with the entrant’s name will be posted on 10/31 Consortium and Fifolet Halloween Festival social profiles. Category winners will be notified via the phone number on the entry form and may pick up their awards at the Halloween Parade Royalty Brunch.
