It’s hard to believe May is here already. As you may know, May marks the start of the Halfoween season for us as we are now half way through the year before the big day – Halloween!
In April, we had an awesome time at the Louisiana International Film Festival for the “Baskin” premiere. 10/31 Consortium was a proud sponsor of the award winning horror film! Members earned access to the VIP area party for simply being in costume. That certainly goes to show you what a costume can get you!
Whether you celebrate half-o-ween on May 1st or the entire month, we hope that you will be celebrating with us at some of our upcoming events. On Friday, May 20th, we will have our 6th Annual Peanut Butter Cup Mini Golf Tournament. Teams of up to 4 players come out in costume or over the top golf attire and hit the mini golf course at All Star Lanes. And it wouldn’t be a 10/31 event without some spooky décor and some frightening new obstacles on the course. Hopefully you can make it out for this fun event, $31 for members, $40 for non members, food and games included! Spectators and caddies are also welcome to join the fun for a discounted rate.
Our board of directors is working hard planning the Black and Orange Bash coming in July and we can’t wait to announce our royalty, award winners, and the theme for the parade this year. This year we are excited to bring back some live entertainment as well as some other fun details. However, we are mostly excited about announcing some BIG CHANGES for 10/31 Consortium and the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade at the bash.
If you have any interest in helping in our efforts, please let us know you’d like to help. We are all volunteers with other jobs but we try our best to make sure this event is a priority. I hope you enjoy your Halfoween. It may be too hot for a glass of cider, but it’s never too hot to dress up in costume!
