Are you a tough pumpkin? Find out this October 28 in downtown Baton Rouge!
This is no ordinary 5K. This 3.14 mile long race on the Mississippi River Levee is exactly 200 feet longer than a 5K. And, it is Baton Rouge’s only Halloween costume race!

8:00 a.m. on the downtown levee
(Between the USS Kidd and LASM)
Take the Tough Pumpkin Challenge and run “the pi” while holding a pumpkin!
All participants will receive a finisher’s medal. A special medal will be awarded to those completing the Tough Pumpkin Challenge. Additional prizes will be awarded by age group.
8:30 a.m. – Lil’ Pumpkins 1 Mile Fun Run
Pumpkin Pi 3.14 Mile Race and Tough Pumpkin Challenge immediately following the kids’ race
Race Awards will be handed out in Halloween Town, followed by contests and entertainment.
2:00 p.m. Baton Rouge Halloween Parade
Stick around after the race for awards, contests, food and live music, entertainment in Halloween Town! Then, watch the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade roll by at 2 p.m.!
