Big Date Changes and New Programs!

Your 10/31 Consortium Board of Directors meets once per month and our last board meeting was highly productive! In addition to finalizing some smaller details, we have also recently implemented some big changes. We know change can be scary, but never fear; we will keep you informed every step of the way!

  1. We moved the Black and Orange Bash date up to Halfoween (the last weekend in April) in order to give us more time to promote the Fifolet Halloween Festival. Having the big announcements made 6 months prior to the festival will be a huge help and keep us from being so rushed during our busiest time of the year.

  2. With Black and Orange moving up, we had to adjust the timeline for Royalty Points. The new points collection timeline isApril 1 to March 31This means your 2 last chances to earn Royalty Points for 2018 are the Peanut Butter Cup Mini Golf Tournament on 3/10 and our tent at the Anna’s Grace Quarter Marathon on 3/25.

  3. We are also adding a Kids’ Court to the Halloween Parade Royalty! Kids’ Court is a leadership and volunteer program for kids age 6 to senior in high school. Learn how the kids are selected HERE

  4. Moving Black and Orange also meant we needed to move up the Peanut Butter Cup Mini Golf Tournament to early March, which has the added benefit of not being so hot! Get the details on this fun, family-friendly event and register your team HERE.

  5. In addition to the Costume / Candy Drive and Costume Giveaway Day, we are adding a Costume Sorting Day and Big Buddy Costume Distribution Day to our volunteer schedule. Please help us put costumes directly into the hands of children in need! Look for dates and info soon!

  6. The Ghostly Gala will now take place closer to Halloween on Friday, October 19. More info coming soon!

  7. The Halloween Parade will now roll at 4 p.m. with staging and line up beginning at 2 p.m. There are no route changes anticipated at this time. The date is still the LSU bye weekend, Saturday, October 27.

  8. Registration for the Pumpkin Pi 3.14 Mile Race opens on Pi Day, March 14.

  9. Ticket sales for the Ghostly Gala, registration for the Halloween Parade and other Fifolet Halloween Festival events opens on Halfoween Day, May 1.

As always, we appreciate your support of our various fundraising events. Please watch our Calendar and Fifolet Halloween Festival Schedule closely as updates are made often!

Sincerely,
Bambi Pizzolato, Board President
